It is a new speed camera warning system that operates independent of satellite navigation systems and that warns the user of popular locations for temporary speed traps, as well as those of the fixed speed cameras checking the speed at which you are driving.

The POI-Pilot 5000+ is a small, inconspicuous GPS receiver (no connection with an iPAQ possible), measuring 85 x 54 x 24 mm, that uses one of the largest and most up-to-date databases of over 40,000 speed camera locations in Europe. The receiver also warns the driver of other safety hazards which commonly affect driving, such as aquaplaning, unguarded railway crossings, sharp corners and slippery roads.
